portable, multiplicitous, adhesive ghosts of Kim Ki-taek appear, with their class-based frowning, beyond his story Parasite (2019). He is invited to continue to haunt from his place in the driver’s seat, staged with a different backseat: East Asianness, as told through bubble tea powered gentrification of Toronto Chinatown and ‘diverse’ influencer consumerism.
